Cabot Highlands - Old Petty

Welcome to Old Petty, Scotland’s newest golfing jewel — a fresh creation by the legendary Tom Doak, opening officially on 15 May 2026 at the world-class Cabot Highlands. Just minutes from Inverness, Old Petty delivers everything golfers dream about when they imagine a true Scottish links — rugged landforms, wind-swept ridges, ocean-view plateaus, and holes that feel as ancient as the surrounding Highland landscape.

But this course isn’t just another modern design. It’s a masterpiece carved through centuries-old land, woven around historic stone ruins and framed by the dramatic silhouette of the 400-year-old Castle Stuart, making every hole feel like a postcard from Scotland’s past.

The routing embraces the natural flow of the land — fast firm fairways, bold contours, and greens shaped by Doak’s signature minimalism. You’ll play from elevated ridges down to sweeping valleys, with dramatic long views of the Moray Firth and the Highlands beyond. The experience is pure, raw, authentic links golf… just evolved for the modern golfer.

Whether you’re pairing Old Petty with a round on the iconic Castle Stuart Course, or coming specifically to play Scotland’s most anticipated new opening, this course promises a once-in-a-lifetime golfing journey — the kind that stays with you forever.
