Gäuboden Golf Club

Our spacious 18-hole course at the foot of the Bavarian Forest is located on the fertile Gäuboden of the Lower Bavarian Donau plateau near Straubing.

From the first tee, a green oasis of almost 120 hectares stretches out from lush fairways, shady trees and forests, and plenty of water. Those who can let their eyes off the little ball and wander northwards into the distance will discover the majestic pilgrimage church on the Bogenberg in front of the impressive backdrop of the Bavarian forest.

A round of golf on our course is always an encounter with nature, because deer, rabbits, foxes and a whole flock of different birds share the course with us. The lanes of our place are wide and are forgiving to the one or the other warped blow. If you aim to keep it all together on your scorecard you must be strategic, because you will tackle more than 6000 meters in length from the men's tee.

Our greens are spacious, but well guarded by bunkers and water hazards. Here, the brave player is rewarded with fast and directional putts, even so the way to the finish is not always straight as most of our greens are criss-crossed by gentle waves.
