Playing Terms

Handicap limits: Gents 20, Ladies 30. (Handicap Certificates may be requested)

Yellow Tees are the “Tee of the Day”. Golfers with a handicap of 5 or less may play from White Tees with prior approval from the Golf Operational Team, Handicap Certificates must be provided.

Golfers must be aged 12 and over to play the Old Course or the Portland Course. (Golfers aged 12 to 15 are required to have a handicap of 12 or less to play the Old Course)

Dress Code

Trousers and shortsshould be tailored and appropriate for golf.

Casual golf wear and clean soft spiked golf shoes are acceptable in the Club Bar and for lunch in the AilsaRoom and Dining Room.

Waterproofs and headwear are not permitted in the Ailsa Lounge or Dining Room.

Blue Denim, paramilitary style trousers, cargo pants, cut-offs, tracksuits, t-shirts and training / sports shoes are not permitted in the Clubhouse or on the Courses.

Buggies

Limited buggies are available for golfers with a valid medical certificate – Cost £20 per round plus a caddie is required to drive.
