About the Golf Course

Just 70 minutes from Tokyo, nestled in the woodlands of Katori, Oak Hills Country Club offers a taste of classic American-style golf in the heart of Japan. Designed by legendary Robert Trent Jones Jr., Oak Hills was one of the first courses in Japan to adopt the Bent one-Green concept — a nod to design finesse rarely found outside the U.S.

With 18 holes at par 72, fairways flanked by towering pines and strategic water hazards, this forested layout demands thoughtful play.

The clubhouse, elegantly designed, features dining, changing rooms, and event spaces. Members and guests arrive by cart, warm up at the driving range, and if desired, take on the challenge of this American-flavored course in the Japanese countryside. Caddies are available; carts are standard. While pull carts and club-fitting aren’t clearly advertised, the experience here mixes tradition, strategy, and a sense of discovery few courses can claim.
