About the Golf Course
Described as an “unforgiving test that rewards the brave”, the par 70 (6,209 yards) MacKenzie Championship Course demands that players become immersed in the challenge. Named after its celebrated designer Dr Alister MacKenzie, the creator of Augusta National and Cypress Point, the MacKenzie Course is the only public championship course in the North East of Scotland. Situated at our Hazlehead venue, running alongside the Hazlehead 9-hole and the Hazlehead Pines courses, the MacKenzie Course was laid out in the 1920s, and the course parkland still retains the architect’s basic design.
