Golfanlage Schloss Weitenburg 9-Loch
About the Golf Course
Golf in a unique landscape along the river Neckar, and with a fantastic view of Weitenburg Castle.
The golf course Unter der Weitenburg - embedded in the Neckar Valley between the historic towns of Rottenburg and Horb - blends in harmoniously with the surroundings of the picturesque town of Starzach-Sulzau. Cultivated tradition and growing modernity come together creating a harmonious whole whilst offering you a very special golf experience.
The 18-hole championship course designed by Heinz Fehring - former national trainer and teacher of Bernhard Langer - has over the years developed into a successful symbiosis of grown nature and a thought-through sports dedication. The fairways meander along the winding Neckar. Rare bird species such as the Black Kite or the Great Egret retreat to this oasis of calm and make the square below the Weitenburg a real natural paradise. As beautiful as the “Platz am Fluss” is it is just as demanding because the Neckar has to be crossed no less than five times.
The 9-hole course was specially designed for golf beginners in the Neckar Valley. The fairways allow a quick and easy dive-in into first golf experiences. It is an ideal fit for anyone who is looking for a fun round of golf. With shortened lanes, golf beginners enjoy good results faster when playing besides the river. The grasses along the Neckar add a wonderful blaze of colour.
Visit us and you will find pure nature, active recreation and sporting challenges in equal measure. We are looking forward to welcoming you Unter der Weitenburg!
