About the Golf Course
Founded in 1906, Carradale Golf Club is a "hidden gem" located on the scenic east coast of the Kintyre Peninsula, offering panoramic views across the Kilbrannan Sound to the Isle of Arran. This charming 9-hole moorland and heathland course was originally designed by the local laird, Austin MacKenzie, who personally marked out the ground before it was refined by greenkeeper John Munro. Often described as the "most sporting nine-hole course in Scotland.

Course Description Layout: It is a 9-hole moorland and heathland course, though it utilizes alternate tees to provide an 18-hole experience totaling 4,576 yards (Par 65). Signature Features: The "Pudding Bowl": The signature 6th hole is a short but exacting test that has gained national recognition for its unique layout. Terrain: The course is famous for its natural hazards, including rock outcroppings that can cause unpredictable bounces.
Difficulty: Despite its relatively short length, with seven holes between 200 and 300 yards, it is known for rewarding precision over power; missed shots are often "punished" by the rugged terrain. Atmosphere: Described as the "most sporting nine-hole course in Scotland," it operates on an informal honor box system for green fees
