Upton by Chester Golf Club

Upton-by-Chester is an established, 18-hole parkland course with mature tree lined fairways and some of nature’s water hazards. It’s a course of great quality and USGA specification greens keep it in play all year.

Relatively flat and not overly long, the course is excellent for those who are looking to get into golf or improve their game. It has more par 3’s than most. That doesn’t mean to say it’s an easy round – there are tricky challenges for even the most experienced golfers that might not be immediately obvious from the scorecard.

The course was originally designed as a 9-hole course in 1934. It’s changed a lot since those early days when plant pots were used as holes and garden canes as flags.

Upton is now one of Cheshire’s finest golf courses, with a reputation for being a family friendly club that welcomes new members and visitors alike.
